The slaughterhouse segment is one of the most important in the Brazilian economy, generating thousands of jobs and increasing income in several regions of the country.
Regulatory Norm No. 36 is the result of discussions and analyzes carried out by a tripartite commission between the government and the business and labor sectors, and covers issues as broad as ergonomics, working hours, working with live animals and thermal comfort.
It was only in 2012 that the then Ministry of Labor and Employment presented NR 36, with the specific objective of improving working conditions in slaughterhouses and slaughterhouses in Brazil.
